The Duncum Center Faculty Fellows Program is designed to foster cross-disciplinary discussions in instructional design, promote evidence-based practices in course development, and support the continuous improvement of ACU Online courses.
Faculty Fellows will:
- Collaborate with program directors, course coordinators, and designated lead faculty in the curriculum update process.
- Propose a project based on the fellow’s experience, research, or area of expertise that will positively impact the ACU Online learner through course design and development practices. The project proposal will include:
- identified goals and timeline of the project,
- relevance of project to ACU Online learners, and
- expected deliverable or work product.
The fellowship appointment includes a 10 hour per week time commitment and is above and beyond the work of the faculty member’s teaching load. No course release will be given. Fellowship appointments are one year long and follow the fiscal year beginning on June 1 and ending on May 31. Fellows are eligible for a one-year stipend paid over the course of the appointment.
Applications for the upcoming fiscal year will be accepted from among ACU Online full-time faculty members. The application deadline is the last day of the Spring 2 session.
Applicants must submit a current vitae as well as a letter signed by her/his academic unit administrator (program director or dean) which indicates support for the faculty member’s application to the Duncum Center (duncumcenter@acu.edu).
